As you are searching for your tickets you see that you have the option of booking either first or second class tickets. This comes in about 10 minutes earlier but I wonder - is it worth switching trains to take the ICE for a couple of hours and save 10 minutes? On an ICE I always use first as there is a lot more space/legroom. Not sure that first is worth it on the IC though it is nice to be able to use the lounges in Ams and Berlin.
