Although having Biology A Level did help me with a few parts of the Psychology A Level it was mainly that I understood the reasons behind something, making it easier to remember/understand initially, but in the end it made no difference. You have to be a very capable student. and it is more than just a memory test. HOWEVER...If you have an intrest in the subject you should naturally be able to pick it up a bit easier as we rememeber stuff easier the more intrested we are in it.
It can be hard for teachers to put themselves ‘into the students’ shoes’ and understand their problems with ‘learning’. Speaking as a B.Psych student in my 3rd year... no psychology is not any 'harder' than many other majors you may consider. It requires more application and understanding than psychology. It was a damn stupid thing to do as far as getting the best dollar value in return for the investment. After considering all the factors, I would say that AP Psychology is not hard in comparison to other high-level classes. When you're making your choice, bear in mind what you want to study at uni, as some degree courses require you to have studied certain subjects at A-Level and achieved certain grades in them. The other problem with Psychology is that it is extremely popular. It is also hard to write in the exam. Lots of people want to do the subject, yet there is hardly a shortage of psychologists.
